As Mogadishu emerges from 20 years of war, a security vacuum has appeared.
Somalia's security forces are struggling to make the city safe, that is despite al Shabab fighters withdrawing from the capital in August.
Local communities are organising their own armed gangs to protect themselves.
This is threatening to return the city to the worst days of its warlords.
